Question
I constantly injure my lower back muscles..... i just injured it couple hour ago doing squats with weights. other people never really injure their backs, but i am pretty much plagued with back pain. i JUST recovered from a previous one that had been there for 5 months while i was on my highschool football team. I know i need to rest, but how can i prevent injurying it easily? i constantly have to protect my back for fears of injuring it.

Answer
Well, first off, once you injure your back, you are MUCH more likely to re-injure it, so forget about the people whom have never had bad problems. As for not re-injuring it: A. Let it heal, stop doing back-intensive weight lifting. B. Like the other guy said, lift correctly. ALWAYS. and C. Try what I do: Every morning: Hot shower, especially on lower back. And then do 30 crunches, followed by 30 reverse crunches, (lift legs over head, while lying on back). This is all to make sure your lower back is warmed up and stretched out first thing in the morning. I repeat: this is just stretching, it's not supposed to be a real workout.
